Will Any Be Lost?

If Father has yieded all to Jesus, what in the creation (visible or invisible) remains outside His control?

"The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand." [Joh 3:35 LITV]

If Father has made Jesus heir of all (visible and invisible), what remains for the Adversary to inherit?
Does this inheritance not also include the Adversary?

"... in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;" [Heb 1:2 LITV]

If all come to Jesus (and are not cast out), and if nothing of what Father gives to Jesus will be lost, how shall any remain in hades or Tartarus or the Fire or the Abyss or death?  Shall not even the Adversary come to Jesus?

"All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and the one coming to Me I will in no way cast out. For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day." [Joh 6:37-39 LITV]

  1. The Father calls all humans, not demons or angels. But humans have free will, you have to want to be under Jesus and the Father. There will be some that will reject the call, and choose to go to eternal death. It is so simple.

  2. What rational being would choose death or torture over joyous life? What kind of god would require an irrational being to make that choice? Believing is a gift (Php 1:29, Eph 2:8) bestowed at Father's discretion.

  3. Mankind can be irrational.

    There is no torture.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

  4. God gives the believer the very belief he or she professes. Romans 9:16 Consequently, then, it is not of him who is willing, nor of him who is racing, but of God, the Merciful.
Romans 11:32 For God locks up all together in stubbornness, that He should be merciful to all.
Romans 5:18 Consequently, then, as it was through one offense for all mankind for condemnation, thus also it is through one just award for all mankind for life's justifying.
Romans 9:11 For, not as yet being born, nor putting into practice anything good or bad, that the purpose of God may be remaining as a choice, not out of acts, but of Him Who is calling,

  5. HudsonMusic, I once believed and taught what you propose. I no longer do, so I think we shall agree to disagree. From the perspective of universal salvation, the lake of fire is not the end of the story. I do not believe any being in a rational state would choose anything other than life. And I do not believe that Father would require any being in an irrational state to make a decision of such magnitude and consequence.

  6. I would have to agree that God is reconciling all of His creation back to Himself through Christ.
Ephesians puts us, (as the "Body of Christ"), in the preverbial driver's seat in reconciling principalities & powers high above, in the heavenlies.
I take this to mean that even Satan will come around to God's love.
God will be all in all!
